CD Projekt RED officially confirmed that the Cyberpunk 2077 has gone gold, which means the game is now ready to launch and the development process is eventually over.
Cyberpunk 2077 is arguably one of the most anticipated titles of this generation that we’ve waited so long for its launch, but the wait is going to be over as soon as we reach November 19th. As the developers had promised before, there would be no more delays in the game’s launch, and today, the developers officially confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 has gone gold.

If you are unfamiliar with the term “Gold” in video game development, it simply means that the game is done with the development process and it will be available on the release date with no delays.
It’s a little bit surprising that Cyberpunk 2077 has gone gold over a month before launch. Probably, the developers are going to spend the remaining time for polishing the game and deliver the best experience possible with no bugs.
Recently, there were some reports around a 6-day work crunch at CD Projekt RED which then confirmed by the head of the studio. Now that the game has gone gold, it remains unknown whether the crunch would still be in place for CDPR employees.
Cyberpunk 2077 is a first-person open-world RPG, allowing you to play as V, a customizable character in the future land of Night City that tries to work with different gangs and corporations to make a name for himself/herself.
Thanks to three episodes of Night City Wire, we now know a lot more about Night City and its active gangs and corporations. Also, we got to have a look at the available weapons and some unique features such as Braindance over the online streams.
Cyberpunk 2077 is set to be launched on November 19 for Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, Stadia, and PC. The game will feature free next-gen upgrade for those who are supposed to play it on current-gen consoles first.
