With the original Crysis game going under a visual reconstruction at Crytek, it seems the remastered version of its popular expansion, Warhead, would be feasible as Tim Willits from Saber Interactive, co-developer of Crysis Remastered, reveals that they will share more on the “remasters” soon.
Although there’s no official confirmation yet, referring to upcoming “remasters” most likely is an indirect hint at the projects going on at Crytek and Saber Interactive. One of the rumors around this matter suggests that Crytek is probably working on a remaster collection similar to Halo: The Master Chief Collection, through which you would get remastered editions of each Crysis game over the time, while you would only pay once. If that is the case, the first entries to that collection would be the original Crysis and Crysis Warhead.
We will be talking about the remasters more soon. I'm glad people are excited.

While some believe that the development of Crysis 4 depends on the sales of the upcoming remasters, Crytek has recently posted a job listing on its page, referring to a AAA unannounced title which’s believed to be next mainline entry of the Crysis franchise.
After Crysis 3, Crytek shifted its focus on creating different titles in various genres, but to varying success. In late 2013, they brought Ryse: Son of Rome to Xbox One as a launch title with incredibly stunning visuals, but tedious gameplay and a linear story that hindered the game as an enjoyable experience. Later on, the studio worked on a few virtual reality titles including Robinson: The Journey and The Climb, but to mixed commercial and critical results. Finally, Crytek returned to the FPS genre with Hunt: Showdown, a PvPvE multiplayer game that received mostly positive reviews from fans and media, which probably could be the point of resurrection for the studio if they manage to keep launching high-quality games.
Crysis Remastered will be heading to PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Switch in summer 2020 with high-resolution and enhanced textures, ray-tracing support, new light setting, and some other improved visual features.
