The world of RTS games would not be the same without the Civilization series. As the free updates to Civ 6 come to an end, one last update will change the game up.
With all games, nothing is better than huge free updates. The team at Firaxis Games knows this better than anyone and has been consistently pushing free game-changing updates for Civ 6.
Unfortunately, the April 2021 update is the final free content update for the game. Because of this, everyone can’t wait to see what’s in store for the final update.

Civ 6 April 2021 Update Release Date
It’s very lucky for Civilization fans that the game’s developers are as transparent as they are. Today, they updated the community on what’s going on behind the scenes and what to expect from the game’s update. The Civ 6 April 2021 update is coming on Thursday, April 22.
Civ 6 April 2021 Update Patch Notes
To be clear, the official patch notes for the April 2021 update haven’t been released yet, but the developers released a four-minute video today explaining some of the changes.
Some of the notes given in the video were about naval battles and A.I., but the most intriguing things coming in the update are the additions of line infantry, man-at-arms, and trebuchets. Fans have been asking for trebuchets for years, so the addition seems like it will go over well.
Also coming to the game are two new map seeds called “True Start Mediterranean” and “True Start Huge.”
This update is going to be “the biggest community update event ever” according to the developers.
