The Final Fantasy spin-off title Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon: Every Buddy! is officially going to be launching in Japan on March 20, 2019. The date comes by way of a leaked copy of an upcoming Famitsu magazine.
Additionally, it was revealed that Alpha, the Chocobo from Final Fantasy XIV will be making an appearance as one of the Jobs players can choose in Mystery Dungeon. If you’re unfamiliar with the title, it’s a remake of a Final Fantasy spin-off game called Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo’s Dungeon for the Nintendo DS and Wii. With this new iteration, the game has dropped the Final Fantasy title.
Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon: Every Buddy! is launching on both the Nintendo Switch and PS4. As for a western release, the game was revealed during a Nintendo Direct where a whole slew of iconic Square Enix titles were announced for the handheld-console hybrid. While no date has been confirmed as of right now, it’ll probably come west sometime later on next year.
