The idea of becoming homeless is truly a horrific thought to most people, but a lot don’t understand the impact this can have to the individual’s life on a daily basis, so Delve Interactive have developed a game to showcase just that: Change.
Change is set in a 2D, randomly generated city filled with NPCs and environmental elements to interact with. Delve Interactive have ensured that their story maintains the replayability factor where no two playthroughs are the same. The open-world setup allows the player to explore a number of ways to survive and analyze their environment along with random narratives on your journey. Beg, busk, work, find shelter, find food, manage your inventory and discover new perks to improve your character as you try to escape the life you’re living, accompanied by a beautiful soundtrack to aid you on the unforgiving streets.
Delve Interactive designed this game to raise awareness and the challenges many homeless individuals face on a daily basis after coming very close to homelessness themselves while developing their first game, Poncho. For every copy of Change they sell on Steam, 20% of the proceeds will be donated to CRISIS, a UK-based charity focused on the issue of homelessness.
Change will be available to play on PC via Steam Early Access on September 18th. For now, can you watch their new trailer below to experience a little bit more about it
