It’s that time once again. The Lunar Festival has commenced in Blizzard’s long-running MMO World of Warcraft bringing new quests, bosses, and seasonal goodies.
In Warcraft lore, the annual Lunar Festival celebrates the Azerothian ancestors who defeated the Burning Legion thousands of years ago. It is also the time of the year where elder spirits appear to bestow wise advice to those who listen.
These spirits may also gift you a Coin of Ancestry. Not only is this a “symbol of honor and respect for one’s ancestry,” it is also the currency you’ll need to purchase the many seasonal items such as a lunar lantern pet, festival dresses, fireworks, one of three pieces of a dragon costume, and more.
The Lunar Festival also sees the return of Omen, a wolf Ancient corrupted by the Burning Legion’s fel magic. If you wish to face him, he can be found at Lake Elune’ara in Moonglade.
If you want to party with the Cenarion Circle, you can travel to Moonglade or visit one of the camps in Ironforge, Stormwind, Darnassus, Thunder Bluff, Orgrimmar, and the Undercity now until March 3rd.
In other World of Warcraft news, Blizzard announced the next expansion Battle for Azeroth will launch this summer.
