After 3 years, Fortnite now seems to have a die-hard competitor that’s growing faster than expected. Everything in the world, including Coronavirus, is helping Activision to populate Call of Duty: Warzone with a massive number of players over a short period after launch. The game has already reached over 30 million players while it was released only 10 days ago.
By surpassing 15 million players in 72 hours, Call of Duty: Warzone set a new record as the fastest-growing Battle Royale game while sending Apex Legends down to the second place. Just one week after that, now the game has doubled the number of in-game community, reaching 30 million players across all platforms. Having said that, there’s still one other record that belongs to Apex Legends. The game hit 50 million players one month after launch, which would likely be broken by Warzone sooner rather later, but the important part is when would it happen?

Call of Duty: Warzone is a free-to-play first-person shooter based upon the last year’s Modern Warfare, featuring Battle Royale and Plunder as two main modes. Set in one big map, Warzone invites you to a large-scale battle with 150 warriors. At launch, it was only supporting 3-player squads, but recently a Solo mode has been added to the game, bringing a more breathtaking experience to the game.
Call of Duty series has been on top of the headlines over the last few days with a bunch of new details and leaks arriving on Call of Duty 2020, introducing it as a Black Ops reboot. Later on, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered was rated by The Korean Game Rating and Administration Committee, raising rumors on a new remastered Modern Warfare from Activision once again.
Call of Duty: Warzone is now available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC for free, and it doesn’t need PlayStation Plus subscription on PS4.
