If you’re a Call of Duty fan, the biggest news that you’ve been hearing about over the past couple of days is the addition of Operation Grand Heist in Black Ops 4. Interestingly enough, however, there was another trailer that came out yesterday that didn’t have anything to do with the new update, at least on the surface level. Yesterday, Treyarch released a brand new trailer called Mystery, centered entirely around the game’s last Zombies experience, Dead of the Night.
The trailer itself goes over the events of the map (which takes place within the Chaos Timeline, before Voyage of Dispair and IX), showing just exactly what went down at Alistair Rhodes mansion that caused him to assemble the normal “Chaos” crew. There’s even a new song in the background, which has been a bit of a staple for the Zombies mode over the years. The trailer itself helps those who either haven’t played the map or didn’t complete the lengthy easter egg, so it’s a welcome addition.
Of course, you can check out the trailer at the end of the article.
Unlike when Operation Absolute Zero launched in December, Grand Heist didn’t launch with a new Zombies map. One, however, was confirmed during Monday’s Treyarch Livestream. It’ll be interesting to see if Treyarch releases more recap videos for the story over the next few weeks, as apparently Ancient Evil, the next Zombies map that will be added in March, will be the last one for a while set in the Chaos storyline.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
