On Tuesday, April 30, 2019, a brand new content season will be making its way into Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. But as of the time of this writing, that’s four days away, but if you’re looking for something to do in-game, Treyarch has you covered. As a final hurrah for Season 3, the developer has announced that they will activate double XP and merits across all modes in the first-person shooter.
Unlike other weekends, this is a rare time where, no matter where you play, you’ll be leveling up twice as fast. Even, surprisingly, in League Play, which has its own separate leveling system from the normal multiplayer. While this isn’t the first time Treyarch has done something like this, it’s still cool to see them supporting the game even right up until the next season.
Just like every other double XP and merit weekend, this one starts today April 26, 2019, and will last until the exact moment that the Season 4 update goes live, on Tuesday at 1:00 PM EST.
In other Black Ops 4 news, yesterday Treyarch released a small trailer for the next season of content, which teased the return of the fan favorite Specialist Spectre. A few days before that, it was confirmed that the fan-favorite mode Prop Hunt will be making its debut when the season begins on Tuesday.
