Last weekend, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 players were able to take advantage of both standard double XP and double weapon XP in multiplayer, but there was a distinct lack of options for Blackout players. Now, Treyarch’s addressing those players by activating double Merits (essentially the mode’s version of XP) in the game’s battle royale mode this weekend.
For those that don’t know, players get Merits is Blackout based on specific achievements they make in game. Kills, challenges, and making it to a certain place in a match all net you Merits, and every one of them will be doubled this weekend. While there’s not a lot of content you can get by leveling up in Blackout, it’s still nice to be able to level up easier.
Just like all the other double XP weekends, this one will last from Friday, February 1, 2019 at 1:00 PM EST (10:00 AM PST) to Monday, February 4, 2019 at 1:00 PM EST.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC. Unlike most new content released for the game, this double Merit weekend will be available for all platforms at the same time.
