During today’s Gearbox panel at PAX East, it was announced that Bulletstorm would soon be headed to Nintendo Switch in a new version of the game titled Duke of Switch Edition.
Bulletstorm: Duke of Switch Edition is virtually the exact same version of the game as that of the Full Clip Edition which released on PC, PS4, and Xbox One back in 2017. That means it is the remastered version of the original Bulletstorm packed in with all additional DLC and the ability to play as the iconic Duke Nukem throughout the campaign. The Duke of Switch Edition of Bulletstorm was teased by Gearbox just last week before this panel.
Gearbox said during the panel that they were actually surprised at how well Bulletstorm has been able to run on the Switch since porting it over and they’re very excited to get it in the hands of players. While they didn’t commit to an exact release date at the panel, Gearbox said it anticipates a release in early summer and promised a more exact date will be coming quite soon.
Until that time, you can read our own review of Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition on PS4 to hold you over.
