The newly established, Arc System Works America revealed that they will be handling publishing and distribution of BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle in North America for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
After recently the Japanese publisher revealed their new North American office, BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle will be the company’s first published title. Before, western publisher Aksys would handle BlazBlue and a few other Arc System Works games so it’s going to be interesting to see how the Arc System Works America approaches, localization, promotion, and distribution, such as, limited edition options.
If you’re still unfamiliar with BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle, it’s a crossover between four franchise, including three fighting games (Persona 4: Arena, Under Night In-Birth Exe: Late[st], BlazBlue: CentralFiction) and a cartoon, Monty Oum’s RWBY.
The fighting style will be similar to the BlazBlue series of 2d anime fighters with a wide variety of characters that each have their own strengths and weaknesses.
