Beat Saber has been updated to version 0.13.0 which has brought a host of new content and changes to the VR rhythm game.

This DLC pack was confirmed to release today last week and is now out for owners of PlayStation VR, Oculus Rift, and HTC Vive. Beat Saber is a VR rhythm game in which players slash to the sound of various tracks, the list of which has now expanded. You can read our review for what we thought of the game (spoilers: its pretty great). First of which is the release of new songs underneath Monstercat Music Pack Vol. 1 which is available for $12.99 and introduces ten new songs to the game. They are:

– ‘Boundless’ – Aero Chord
– ‘Emoji VIP’ – Pegboard Nerds
– ‘Epic’ – Tokyo Machine
– ‘Feeling Stronger (feat. Charlotte Colley) [High Maintenance Remix]’ – Muzzy
– ‘Overkill’ – RIOT
– ‘Rattlesnake’ – Rogue
– ‘Stronger (feat. Emel)’ – Stonebank
– ‘This Time’ – Kayzo
– ‘Till It’s Over’ – Tristam

These tracks are also avaialble separtely for $1.99 each.

This DLC can also be purchased with the main Beat Saber game for $39.99 on PlayStation 4 or $29.89 on the Oculus store and Steam.

Separate from the DLC an update released for Beat Saber has brought it to version 0.13.0 and introduces a single-player campaign mode with 51 missions (which was already included in the PlayStation VR version, 5 new songs from their OST Vol. 2 (also from PSVR), and a few miscellaneous changes listed below:

  • Ghost Notes modifier.
  • No Arrows modifier.
  • New UI style in menus.
  • Obstacle core is hidden in LIV camera.
  • Lighting fog is reflected in mirrors now.
  • Optimized rendering and many small graphic improvements.

Unfortunately this update has also broken all mods as of March 14, 2019 at 2:00 PM EST according to the developers post on Reddit. Those who desire to continue using mods (which is the main way players have been able to upload their own songs into the game) will have to downgrade their copy on Steam. Modders are working on updating their mods but it could take some time, the developer promises to continue updating the community as they come.

Beat Games Studio also confirmed that they have now sold more than a million copies of Beat Saber across all three platforms, a big accomplishment for a VR-only game.
