You can simulate a lot of things these days, but by far one of the most useful for gamers in 2018 is PC Building Simulator. Today, developers The Irregular Corporation announced that they have entered a partnership with ASUS to add their hardware to the game in the near future.

Our generation of gamers started on consoles whose circuit boards can now be reproduced for a fraction of what the console originally cost us. Many of us went through that Halo 3 stage where it was all we wanted to play when we got home from school. Now, many of us are at a point in our lives where we don’t have as much time to game, but when we do, we want it to be as polished as possible. That’s why people shift from consoles to PC (aka the master race).

You’d probably save some money of a GPU if you bought a pre-made PC–shoutout to all the cryptos out there–but putting a computer together and getting it past the BIOS is one of the most memorable moments in my gaming career. For those of you who don’t want to fry your motherboard because you forgot to drop your static charge (like me), there’s PC Building Simulator, which allows you to assemble components and manage your wires until you get a PC that runs the way you want it to.

The game already has tons of partnerships with companies like AMD, Republic of Gamers, Cooler Master, Corsair, MSI, ECGA, and more, but ASUS components make up almost half of my build, and the brand is important to a lot of people who put these machines together. According to the developers, it was the single most requested addition to the game and will feature ASUS’s ROG Strix GeForce GTX 1080 Ti OC Edition, ROG Maximus X Formula, and more.

PC Building Simulator is available on Steam. You can check out the launch trailer here. Or read about the game selling 100,000 copies in its first month here.
