Bandai Namco Entertainment continues to announce tons of new characters from various Shonen franchises for Jump Force. Everything from Dragon Ball to Rurouni Kenshin to Bleach is being represented, and today we learned that a character from Black Clover will be joining the fray as well. Specifically, Asta will be playable in Jump Force upon its release next February.
For those of you who don’t know much about Black Clover, Asta is one of its main characters and an orphan that is also known to be a master swordsman. He wields the the five-leaf clover grimoire, which he brings into battle in Jump Force. This won’t Black Clover’s only representation on current-gen consoles either. Bandai Namco Entertainment released Black Clover: Quartet Knights, a 3D fighter not too far off from Jump Force gameplay-wise, for PC and PS4 back in September.
In addition to showcasing Asta fighting, some new screenshots also highlight a stage that hasn’t been seen before. As you may be aware of, most of Jump Force’s stages blend a Shonen Jump franchise with a real-world location; that being said, this new stage looks to just be Marineford from One Piece, though it does seem a bit more worse for wear than usual. Like Black Clover fans, One Piece fans will have other another new game of their own to play soon with One Piece: World Seeker.
As with most Jump Force characters, Asta will likely be featured in his own trailer that will probably be released in the coming days; when that becomes the case, DualShockers will be sure to let you know. Until then, you can just check out the first screenshots of Black Clover’s Asta and Marineford below. On February 15, Jump Force will be available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
The game can already be pre-ordered on Amazon. If this news has gotten you in the mood for a game that solely features Black Clover characters like Asta, Black Clover: Quartet Knights is also available on Amazon.
