League of Geeks and Soedesco announced today that they are partnering to release a physical version of Armello on PS4. Titled Armello: Special Edition, this version of the game includes a physical soundtrack and will hit store shelves on March 18, 2018.
For those of you who don’t know, Armello has been deemed a “digital strategy board game” by its developers, and first released on PC and PS4 back in 2015 before making its way to Xbox One last year. The game mixes deep card, strategy, and RPG game elements together to create something unique. Armello’s boards are procedurally generated each match, and the game also features a dynamic quest systems so two different games don’t overlap much.
Armello: Special Edition is the latest in a string of physical releases of independent games courtesy of Soedesco. Back in September, the publisher released physical editions of Milkstone Studio’s Pharaonic and Flying Carpets Games’ The Girl and the Robot on PS4 and Xbox One. Earlier this month, they released a physical version Tricky Towers on PC and PS4.
