If you’ve been wanting to buy ARK: Survival Evolved on both Xbox One and Windows PC, but you didn’t want to spend a ton of money, then it’s your lucky day. Developer and publisher Studio Wildcard has officially announced that the action shooter is now a part of Xbox’s Play Anywhere program.
For those who don’t know, if a game is a part of the Play Anywhere program, buying a version of the game on either PC or Xbox One will grant you a free copy of the game on the other system. In addition to that, players are also able to transfer their saves, DLC, and Achievements from one system to the other.
In other ARK: Survival Evolved news, a couple weeks ago the game’s latest expansion was released, which includes new environmental features, new animals, new items, and more. The expansion is available for $19.99, or as a part of the game’s season pass. Last month the creative director of the game said that the title “needs to have a sequel at some point.”
Ark: Survival Evolved was originally released on August 29, 2017 and is, of course, available on the aforementioned platforms, as well as PlayStation 4.
