Who is Forge in Apex Legends?
Forge was a Legend that was introduced way back in Season 4 of Apex. He had the usual new Legend fanfare surrounding him, promotional animated shorts for his backstory, a full character kit–the whole shebang.
He was unexpectedly and unceremoniously killed off by Revenant in a video before his official release who then took his place as a Legend. The subversion of expectations took everyone by surprise and is still one of Apex‘s most memorable moments to this day.
Is Forge Coming to Season 9?
Popular Apex news account, Apex Legends News (@TitanFallBlog) tweeted today:
This came as quite the surprise to longtime Apex fans as, last we saw Forge, he was dead as a doornail. Then, when looking at the date of the tweet and remembering what day it is today, it all comes into place.
This is clearly an April Fool’s Day joke, and Forge is not coming to Apex Legends Season 9.
I will say, although I like to think I’m not particularly gullible, this prank got me to at least give Forge a Google search before realizing that I had been got. Well done Apex Legends News, you win this round.
