Following his guest appearance on episode 11 of Gary Whitta’s “Animal Talking”, actor Danny Trejo has his own recurring segment on the show.
Rogue One screenwriter and “Kinda Funny Games Daily” co-host Gary Whitta has taken the world by storm with his Animal Crossing talk show, “Animal Talking”. During the show’s first episode Whitta claimed he had the idea for the show that morning, and made it a reality by the day’s end. Since then the show has become extremely popular with thousands of viewers tuning into Whitta’s Twitch stream for each episode. The show has had a diverse plethora of guests, from gaming industry staples like Kinda Funny’s Greg Miller and Double Fine’s Tim Schafer to more household names such as T-Pain, and Elijah Wood.
The announcement of Trejo’s segment titled “Danny’s Diary” came on Whitta’s Instagram account on May 19 and can be seen in full below.
From Whitta’s brief description of the segment, it sounds like a wholesome time watching the Machete actor live out his island life. Additionally, Whitta announced that the segment will premire in June.
Frankly, I think Whitta’s show is absolutely genius. He’s capitalized on everything perfectly; the popularity of Animal Crossing following the release of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and the lack of well-structured talk shows running during this worldwide pandemic. Watching “Animal Talking” is far more enjoyable than watching a traditional late-night show host struggle to video call their guest with a poor connection. It will be interesting to see if Whitta develops more new segments for the show. Until then, I look forward to watching upcoming episodes of “Animal Talking” on Twitch.
