Times certainly are hard right now with the world being on fire and all, thus making it even harder to find things to be happy about. But among the chaos and angst, and if you look hard enough, you’ll always find something that restores your faith in humanity again. Video games are one of life’s simple pleasures. To be able to take some time out from the world around you, even if only for a short time, can make all the difference and in the process produce some incredible moments. To prove this point, a video clip went viral on Twitter over the weekend showing a kid playing Marvel’s Spider-Man for the very first time and it’s clear that he’s having the time of his life.

The young kid in question is called Ryan and his sheer enjoyment and smile while playing Spider-Man PS4 would brighten up even your worst day. In the clip taken by his dad “HollowPoiint” who is also a YouTuber and uploads lots of Call of Duty videos, funny moments, and tips and tricks, we see Ryan sitting in front of a big screen living his best life whilst swinging Peter Parker through the narrow streets of New York City. To be perfectly honest, this too was my exact facial expression and happiness when I was playing Spider-Man PS4 with a few “Woooohoooo’s” and “Weeeeee’s” thrown in, too. Hey, you’re never too old to act like a big kid.
The viral video even caught the attention of Bryan Intihar who is the creative director at Insomniac Games and who also directed Spider-Man PS4. Bryan retweeted HollowPoiint’s tweet by saying “If you ever wonder why we do this, just look at the smile on his face. Just awesome.”

In other Marvel’s Spider-Man news, last month we saw that Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Part II is already seeing higher pre-order numbers compared to those for Marvel’s Spider-Man in 2018. Considering that Spider-Man ended up being one of the best-selling PS4-exclusive titles ever, and to date has sold over 13 million copies worldwide. We also saw a rumor that Marvel’s Spider-Man could be one of the free games available for PS Plus subscribers but as we have seen, the line up for June consists of Call of Duty WW2 and Star Wars Battlefront 2.
If collecting Spider-Man figures is your jam, you may be interested in a brand new figurine based on his Advanced Suit design. The Advanced Suit figure is available for pre-order on right now and is slated to go on sale for $84.99.
If you haven’t picked it up yet, Marvel’s Spider-Man is available on Amazon exclusively for PS4. According to Marvel Games’ Creative Director, this game is just the start of “a new era for Marvel console games.” You can also check out our review for the game, which boasts that “Marvel’s Spider-Man is the crown jewel of Insomniac Games’ long history of success and a true homage to one of the most beloved characters of all time.”
