A few years back Activision and Tencent released Call of Duty: Online, a free-to-play China-exclusive version of the popular franchise that combined features from multiple eras of the series and ever since it’s become incredibly popular (in fact, Activision and Raven Software use it as a testing ground for new features in the main games). Now, the two giants have announced that they are teaming up once again for a brand new mobile game, this time utilizing Timi, Tencent’s mobile development team.

As for the title itself, not a lot is known. Just like Call of Duty: Online, it’ll combine aspects and features from the previous Call of Duty games, including maps, characters, and more. Of course, it’ll be a first-person shooter as well and will be completely free-to-play.

Unfortunately, we don’t have any screenshots, videos, or any other details about the game, however, unless you’re in China this really won’t affect you, as you won’t be able to download it outside of that country.

The new China-exclusive Call of Duty mobile game is set to be released sometime in the next few months.
