While working on Microsoft Flight Simulator as their next big project, Asobo Studio launched a successful story-driven puzzle-adventure last year, A Plague Tale: Innocence, which recently reached over one million copies in the number of sales across all platforms.
Originally released back in May 2019, A Plague Tale: Innocence unfolds the story of Amicia and her younger brother in a dark and bleak era of the history when brutal wars and a deadly disease threatens the lives of innocent people. Your mission is to protect yourself from being infected by the plague carriers and escape from the city which is controlled by the enemy troops.
Story-wise, A Plague Tale: Innocence is a solid experience that you shouldn’t miss if you value stories over gameplay. During your journey, your only weapon for surviving is to solve puzzles in order to avoid rats and make them attack the invaders. It’s mostly a hide-and-run title where the story plays a vital role over gameplay.
We're thrilled to announce that A Plague Tale: Innocence has sold over a million copies worldwide!

The game has been added to the Xbox Game Pass library a few months earlier and now it has reached over one million copies sales across all platforms, which is a great result for Asobo Studio and their low-budget title. With such a promising performance in sales, Asobo Studio might consider working on a sequel for the game.
The French developer is currently working with Microsoft to bring back the Flight Simulator series for Xbox Series X and Xbox One over a decade after its latest installment. The partnership has also caused some rumors around the acquisition of the studio by Microsoft, which couldn’t be far from the truth if their collaboration results in a successful successor for the Microsoft Flight Simulator series.
A Plague Tale: Innocence is currently available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. If you’d like to play in the near future, the game has been hit by a %66 discount on Steam for a limited time.
