Yesterday, PUBG Corp. announced new information regarding its popular battle royale shooter PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds.
According to the official Steam page, the battle to tackle cheaters within the community has occupied the development team in recent months, with that in mind. Sadly, the plants to implement some form of a ping limit has been delayed for the time being. Fortunately, the latest Steam update explains that the developers are testing a new method for addressing ping issues, which they hope will turn out better than their initial envision.
With a heavy emphasis on containing the cheating problem in the game, this has forced the developer to push back the announcement of new content and changes to the game, which the PUBG Corp. has stated will provide a “deeper and more realistic” experience for gamers. Although there was no additional information provided as to what type of content gamers can expect in the first half of 2018, what we do know is an announcement for a new map will be revealed sometime next month.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is available now on PC via Steam, while an Xbox One version is currently available as a Game Preview title. For more information on the game, check out DualShockers’ official review.
