Back in November, The Game Bakers confirmed that Furi would be making its way to Nintendo Switch sometime in early 2018. Today, we received more details on exactly what is included in the Switch version of Furi and a release date of January 11.
The Nintendo Switch version of Furi will cost $19.99, but comes with the One More Fight DLC that expands the game’s boss roster. In addition, the Switch version includes the extremely challenging Furier mode, which has not yet appeared on a console. As is to be expected, Furi will launch on Switch with all the balance and bug fixes previously made to other versions of the game through updates intact.
For those of you who may not be aware, Furi is an action-packed boss rush game that was created as a kind of “love letter” to some of the Japanese games that inspired The Game Bakers like No More Heroes, Metal Gear Solid, and Godhand. If you want to learn more about the game, you can check out our interview with Emeirc Thoa, The Game Bakers’ Creative Director.
