Gust’s new JRPG Atelier Lydie & Suelle: Alchemists of the Mysterious Painting is right on the finish line in Japan, and Koei Tecmo is paving the way with a brand new trailer.
The video shows the two bratty protagonists alongside a full party (including familiar heroines Sophie and Firis), as they battle a boss in the game, showing off the brand new battle system based on the combination of front line and rear guard characters.
As usual, it showcases the charming art style that we know and love in Atelier games, on top of the mechanics. Even bosses are quite adorable. Go figure.
You can check it out below. If you want to see more about the game, you can also watch another recent gameplay trailer, a second one from a few days before, the opening cutscene, some trailers showing different versions of the game, a gallery of screenshots introducing characters, and the first gameplay trailer.
On top of that, if you want to go hands-on with the game, you can also try out the Japanese demo.
Atelier Lydie & Suelle: Alchemists of the Mysterious Painting will launch in Japan tomorrow (December 21st, 2017), for PS4, Switch, and PS Vita. Unfortunately, the PS Vita version will come only for Japan. The western version, which will release on March 30th in Europe and March 27th in North America, will skip Sony’s portable in favor of PC.
