Today Sega and Creative Assembly announced that Total War: Warhammer II players will be able to enjoy a brand new faction in January. It’s the Tomb Kings.
That’ll probably surprise no one, considering that they were the only major faction left to add, but it’s good that they’ll come. Unlike races added with expansions in the first game of the series, they won’t have a narrative campaign, but they will instead come with a whopping four legendary lords, Settra the Imperishable, High Queen Khalida, Grand Hierophant Khatep, and Arkhan the Black.
They will also integrate into the game’s campaign, with their own objectives and narrative, culminating in the battle for the Black Pyramid. Apparently, they can’t care the less about the vortex.
If you like bigger, they will also be playable in the massive Mortal Empires combined campaign at launch. Unfortunately, we still did not get any news about the integration of Norsca and the regiments of renown (and this irritates me to no end), but it’s a start.
The DLC will launch on Steam on January 23rd. Below you can check out a trailer and a bunch of juicy screenshots.
Total War: Warhammer II is currently available exclusively on PC.
