Following its release back in March of this year, developer Moon Studios has now unveiled some statistics related to Ori and the Will of the Wisps, including just how many players have now experienced the game for themselves.

Divulged via the official Twitter account related to the game, Moon Studios announced that 2 million players across all platforms have now given Ori and the Will of the Wisps a go for themselves. Of those 2 million-plus players, around 423,000 have seen the game through to its completion. Furthermore, 14.5 million hours of playtime have been logged across all sessions and roughly 7,000 people were able to beat the game without dying, which is a pretty wild feat.

Personally speaking, I believe that Ori and the Will of the Wisps is one of the year’s best games by far and should absolutely be experienced if you have access to it. While it might be easy to get lost in the shuffle of this year’s other major releases like DOOM EternalFinal Fantasy VII Remake, and The Last of Us Part IIOri stands toe-to-toe with many of these titles and makes for one of the most engrossing games I have experienced in quite some time. Considering many of the game’s primary faults related to performance have been rectified since release, I cannot suggest enough that you give this one a whirl if you have the chance.

Ori and the Will of the Wisps is available now on Xbox One and PC and is downloadable for free to those who subscribe to Xbox Game Pass. Conversely, if you still haven’t checked out the first game in the series, Ori and the Blind Forest, it’s available on the same platforms in addition to the Nintendo Switch.
