We are not the same people we once were when we did our first kickflip in Tony Hawk Pro Skater. We have aged, just like the game and just like the skaters in said game. Vicarious Visions, the developers behind the upcoming remaster, has taken that anecdote and the game will include new scans of the skaters as they are now.
Per Game Informer, new scans of the skaters have been taken so that the game can include them in the upcoming remaster. You can take a look at the scans for yourself in the short gameplay video below.
Contrary to what everyone else thinks, I find nothing cooler than a middle-aged person who can shred on a skateboard. Many of the skaters who were featured in the original game are well into their 40’s. Tony Hawk is 52. These guys are no spring chickens now but they can all still skate and still look great too.
I can’t wait to hop into this game and relieve those late 90’s memories. Tony Hawk Pro Skater made me want to get into skateboarding. Then I actually got on one and was fine with just playing the video games.
Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 and 2 will release later this year on September 4 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
