2K Games formally announced the Mafia Trilogy this morning with a new teaser trailer and the promise that more information would be coming about next week. Well, before that time, it seems some additional details of the collection have now come about.
Thanks to a listing on the Microsoft Store for the game, it looks as though the Mafia Trilogy will be arriving later this summer on August 28, 2020. While a price hasn’t been given yet, it seems to be expected that all three titles will arrive in one bundle for the standard fare of $59.99.
Additionally, our first look at new images directly from the remastered version of the original Mafia have now come about thanks to the Microsoft Store, and the visuals look extremely impressive. For those who may not be aware, the first entry in the Mafia series launched all the way back in 2002, meaning that the title is pretty aged at this point. 2K Games and Hangar 13 seem to have given a lot of care and attention when it comes to bringing the game to modern platforms, and that care is easily seen in these screenshots. Rather than just being a simple remaster, the original Mafia seems to more qualify as being a full-blown remake based on what we’ve seen.
You can check out the key art for Mafia: Definitive Edition along with all of the new screenshots attached down below. The full Mafia Trilogy is set to land on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia when it arrives in August.
