I know they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder and that all art has value, but this seems pretty clear-cut. Kristen Irena’s portrait of Arthur Morgan, the rootin-tootin main character of Red Dead Redemption 2, is a gorgeous recreation. Not to mention it puts Arthur’s drawings of scenes from the wild west to shame.
The portrait, done in pencil over white paper, shows a stoic Arthur Morgan, looking off into the distance. It’s hard to ignore the level of detail that’s gone into this piece. You can see the wear and tear on Arthur’s hat and the shadow it sets over his eyes. His hair and beard have been so carefully done that you can nearly count each hair – even those around the scar on his chin. If you’re a fan of Red Dead Redemption 2, this should probably be your next phone background.
Finally, after a few weeks of hard patience, sweat, dedication and cramping hands; my updated Arthur Morgan portrait is DONE . Super proud of this one. Thanks again to everyone supporting my art adventures! Love the rdr community! #arthurmorgan #rdr2 #RedDeadRedemption2 pic.twitter.com/81qHwKNTRb

If Red Dead Redemption isn’t your speed, Irena’s art isn’t just centered around the cowboy RPG – although a lot of it is. Looking over to her Instagram account, you can find more western-themed art and cosplays – including an equally impressive portrait of Sadie Adler. Irena also has portraits of Netflix’s Geralt from The Witcher, Sheriff Hopper from Stranger Things, and others.
If you’re looking for a new gaming-centered artist to support, be sure to give Kristen Irena a follow. You can find her Instagram here and her Twitter account here.
