As one of the most anticipated titles coming in spring 2020, Resident Evil 3 is arriving at a very interesting time in the wake of a worldwide pandemic. That being said, there’s a lot to look forward to in the upcoming remake of the beloved classic, and you won’t have to wait too much longer to get your hands on it for yourself.
Capcom has announced that a demo for Resident Evil 3 will be arriving on Thursday, March 19 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, giving fans a taste of the terror that is in store for them against Nemesis. According to Capcom, the demo itself will let you play a segment of the game as Jill Valentine trying to make her escape from Raccoon City as it “rapidly descends into chaos” (perhaps a little close to reality, at this point).
In addition to the demo of RE3, Capcom also revealed that an open beta for Resident Evil Resistance will begin on consoles and PC starting Friday, March 27. The beta will allow users a chance to check out the asymmetrical multiplayer experience of RE Resistance as a group of four players tries to escape the clutches of an experiment gone wrong.
Given the huge success of Resident Evil 2 last year, it definitely seems like there is a lot to look forward to from the upcoming remake of Resident Evil 3, and especially for what Capcom seems to have planned for its multiplayer component, RE Resistance. Personally, having never played the original RE3 myself, it certainly seems as good a time as any to finally jump in and experience one of the most terrifying chapters of the RE series yet.
Resident Evil 3 will release for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on April 3, 2020, and you can preorder the game right now over on Amazon. For a closer look, you can check out the newly-released trailer below highlighting both Resident Evil 3 and RE Resistance:
