Cosplayers, time to pack it up and go home — we may have a winner for Best of 2020. This time it is a brand new take on a fan-favorite heroine from Final Fantasy VII, Tifa Lockhart. Even better, it seems like Austrian cosplayer Haruhiism took a page out of Final Fantasy VII Remake‘s look in adapting the newly revealed design.
Despite the recent news that Square Enix’s Final Fantasy VII Remake is getting delayed, fans of the game are still continuing to pump out amazing content. This includes Austrian cosplayer Haruhiism who recently did a full set to celebrate the game’s brand new design. Tifa’s gameplay, which was first revealed in the E3 2019, managed to take both faithful and liberal designs to her old-school costume. You can check that trailer below, if you missed it (editor’s note: it shouldn’t be missed):
With all that said, you can see a few different takes on Tifa Lockhart below from Haruhiism in the gallery below. With the black and white athletic crop top, the heavily detailed gloves, and the black mini skirt, this cosplayer is a dead ringer for the real thing.
Even better, it looks like Haruhiism used this photoshoot as a good exercise to include other cosplayers — including cosplayer Fae La Blanche as Final Fantasy VII‘s Aerith. It makes for an iconic duo — possible even more than the Aerith and Zack photoshoot that looks like a screenshot from the upcoming game.
In the past month, Final Fantasy VII Remake has been making the rounds quite heavily. Along with the recently revealed delay, data miners were able to pick apart a leaked version of the upcoming demo. In other words, make sure to steer clear from spoilers if want to enjoy all the new additions to the classic game at release.
Final Fantasy VII Remake will be available on April 10, 2020 (following the recently announced delay), exclusively on PS4. If you haven’t pre-ordered the game yet, you can still grab the physical Deluxe Edition on Amazon to help support the site. Meanwhile, make sure to follow Haruhiism on her dedicated cosplay Instagram for some more amazing takes on iconic characters.
