Bandai Namco revealed the opening movie of One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows. Saitama would probably say “it’s okay” in a lifeless manner if he was asked to comment on it.

One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is the latest endeavor in Bandai Namco’s attempt to conquer the world by producing game adaptations of every single popular shonen manga ever. Similarly to Pinky and the Brain‘s plans destined to fail, some of these games turn out pretty bad. But some turn out fine.

Hopefully, A Hero Nobody Knows will end up in the latter category. The game is developed by Spike Chunsoft, who are used to making these 3D arena shonen brawlers. It’s their bread and butter along with visual novels and adventure games, so OPM fans might get a satisfying game adaptation. It’ll be pretty ironic if a manga whose base pitch is being tongue-in-cheek about shonen manga ends up having a typical sucky shonen manga game.

The song used for the opening is “Freaking Out!” by JAM Project. They also did all the openings for the anime adaptations of OPM. JAM Project is a group I don’t really need to introduce. They regularly do anime, Tokusatsu or game songs for everything from Garo to Muv Luv. JAM Project most notably take care of every theme song in Super Robot Wars games.

The opening movie of One Punch Man A Hero Nobody Knows is included below.

One Punch Man A Hero Nobody Knows will launch on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on February 28. If you’re planning to get it anyway, you can preorder the game on Amazon to support us.
