After years of anticipation since the original launch of the game’s Kickstarter, 505 Games has today announced the release date for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.
Depending on the version of Bloodstained that you might be looking to pick up, there are two different release dates in question but both will be out in June. For the PS4, Xbox One, and PC version of the game, it will be dropping on June 18. As for Nintendo Switch version of Bloodstained, it will arrive the following week on June 25. All versions of the game will also retail for $39.99. For those that have been waiting for this game to arrive since its Kickstarter launched in 2015, having a release date in sight now is surely a relief.
Alongside announcing the launch date, a new trailer for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night was also released today. This new video shows the vast improvements that the game has undergone over the past few years of development by comparing old footage of the game to the current footage. Koji Igarashi himself also makes an appearance in the trailer, vowing to prove those wrong who in the past had negative comments for the game. It’s nice to the team behind Bloodstained take these critical messages to heart and really make a better looking game because of it.
You can check out the trailer below in question if you’re interested. And if you’re looking to tide yourself over as we enter the final month or so until launch, be sure to check out my recent hands-on impressions of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night from earlier this year at PAX East.
