If you’ve been doing everything in your power to level up in Black Ops 4 over the past few months but nothing seems to be working then worry no more. As one of the last festivities of the current content season, Operation Grand Heist (which is set to end on around April 30, 2019), Treyarch has activated double Merits in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s Blackout mode.
Of course, this acts like every other double Merit weekend that Treyarch has hosted before. It works almost identically to a double XP weekend, but considering Blackout uses Merits for kills, match placement, etc in the place of XP, it’s not an exact copy. As previously stated, however, there’s not a lot that can be earned from Blackout’s Merit system, but to each their own.
Double Merits are live right now in the game mode, so all you need to do is jump in and start playing. Just like most other double XP events, this one will end on Monday (in this case, April 22, 2019).
It’s important to note that this event only affects Blackout, meaning Multiplayer and Zombie players shouldn’t get any funny ideas about trying to earn extra XP in their modes because it won’t work.
In other Blackout news, a couple of days back Treyarch announced that it had partnered with BoomTV to host a tournament on Alcatraz, with the prize pool consisting of $40,000.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is available right now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
