Yesterday, it was revealed that the annual Irish-themed Shamrock and Awe event would be making its way to Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 today. Now, the event is officially live in-game and to celebrate its release, Treyarch has released a brand new action-packed trailer for fans to sink their teeth into while they wait for the update to download on their PS4s.
The trailer itself, obviously, gives fans a good look at all the content they’ll be getting in the massive patch, including the new Blackout map update, the new Blackout Hardcore mode, the new multiplayer map Hurricane Contraband, the mode Stockpile, and all the other small additions. It only clocks in at less than a minute long, however, it’s still a good trailer. You can, of course, check it out at the end of the article.
Just to be clear, Shamrock and Awe isn’t the start of a new season, it’s a just a small mini-event that’s occurring during the larger Operation Grand Heist season that went live a few weeks back. This means that it doesn’t seem like there’s a ton of new cosmetic content, rather just small additions. While the patch itself is available now on PS4, the patch notes still haven’t been made available yet, however, they should be hitting sometime later today.
