As happens from time to time, the ESRB has recently seemed to unveil a new game ahead of its official announcement.
Over on the ESRB’s official website, a page for NieR: Automata Game of the YoRHa Edition recently went live. Judging from the play on words in the title, this seems to be a Game of the Year edition of one of 2017’s most popular and well-received games. According to the page, this version of NieR: Automata will be coming to PS4 and PC, with no Xbox One platform mentioned.
As is customary with GOTY editions of popular games, this version of NieR: Automata will likely contain all bonus content that the game received following its release. NieR: Automata notably had one piece of DLC titled 3C3C1D119440927 which included new costumes and boss fights. As for other new content that arrived post-launch, NieR: Automata was noticeably lacking, but perhaps this new edition of the game could add even more to do in the game’s world.
It’s worth noting that whenever the ESRB does leak games, the track record of them being proven to be real is nearly perfect. We’ll keep you posted in the coming days and weeks when we hear more about this potential title from Square Enix and Platinum Games.
