Deep Silver and 4A Games present the brand new Spartan Collector’s Edition for the upcoming Metro Exodus. The collector’s edition features a high-quality collectible statue, collectible postcards, dog tags, and a “gigantic sealed cannister”.
The developers noted on the that there will only be 4000 Spartan’s Collector’s Edition made, so if you want one be sure to pre-order soon on their website. This collectible bundle isn’t cheap though; players will have to pay a steep $149.99 on top of a whopping $44.99 postage and packaging fee (if you are buying in the United States).
If you want to get the bundle with the Aurora Limited Edition, which comes with a Steelbook, an artbook, and the game’s expansion pass, included instead of just the base game, the bundle’s initial price before shipping will rise to $234.99. This seems to follow this year’s trend of hefty-priced collector’s edition with titles like Fallout 76 and even Devil May Cry V.
The trailer revealing this Collector’s Edition also gave some brief glimpses of gameplay, showcasing the beautiful lighting and animation that the Metro series is known for. However, the real purpose of the trailer is to show off that beautiful 10.5-inch stature rather than gameplay.
If players aren’t too committed to dropping $200 on the Metro Exodus Spartan Collector’s Edition, you can still get just the Aurora Edition for some extra goodies. Of course, fans can still pre-order the standard edition for PC, PS4, and Xbox One before it’s release on February 22, 2019.
