Back in early September, Square Enix revealed that they’d be bringing a slew of Final Fantasy titles to Nintendo Switch. This marks the first time many of these games would be making their way onto a Nintendo platform. Three of the latest titles in the longrunning series, Final Fantasy X, X-2, and XII have all recently just became available for pre-order.
Furthermore, their prices have also revealed. X / X-2 HD will be released on Nintendo Switch as a collection and they’ll cost $49.99 USD. Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age will be the definitive version of Final Fantasy XII and is also available to pre-order for $49.99. Back when both released on PS4, they cost the same.
DualShockers has reviews for X, X-2, and XII: The Zodiac Age that you can check out right now. X is the last game in the series that featured turn-based combat, and it still holds up to this day. X-2 has a relatively different combat system that works based on what outfits your characters have equipped, it’s a bit more of an active battle system. Final Fantasy XII works more passively, where you’ll decide your character actions before fights in the game. All these titles are available on PS4 and PC right now, while X and X-2 are available on both PS3 and PS Vita as well.
