Today, Treyarch officially ended Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s multiplayer beta around 15 minutes after the scheduled end time, at around 1:15 p.m. EDT (10:00 a.m. PDT). Even though we are fresh off the ending, Treyarch and others already seem to be teasing something new for the game on multiple Twitter accounts.
As you can see in the screenshots down below, Call of Duty’s, Treyarch’s, and David Vonderhaar’s official Twitter account all changed their pictures to a new symbol that’s clearly ripped from the game, although what it’s teasing is not entirely clear. The most obvious answer is the highly anticipated Blackout mode, which will have it’s own beta in September, although that’s not entirely clear.
In other Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 news, last week Treyarch revealed a brand new mode for the game, called Heist, which tasks two teams with fighting over a bag of cash before running out of lives.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is set to be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC on October 12, 2018. If you want to pre-order the game and snag a beta code in time for the Blackout version, you can do so on Amazon by clicking here.
