While there are several upcoming Warhammer 40K titles, not as many games explore the fantasy portion of the Warhammer tabletop series. That being said, Bigben Interactive announced today that it plans to tackle that part of the series with its action-RPG Warhammer: Chaosbane.
Warhammer: Chaosbane is developed by Eko Software, who is best known for their work on titles like How to Survive and Rugby 18. According to its developers, the game takes place in the Old World, a continent that was ravaged by the wars on Chaos, and will be shown off at E3 this year.
At the start of the game, one can choose to play as a human, high elf, wood elf, or dwarf before exploring several iconic places from the series. This includes the cursed city of Praag and Nuln, which was the Empire’s old capital.
The game’s first screenshots give us a glimpse at its action RPG-gameplay, showing both a warrior and magic user. Check those out below. Warhammer: Chaosbane is currently without a release window, but we do know it is in active development for PC and consoles.
