.hack//G.U. Last Recode, Bandai Namco, Originals, PC, PS4

Today Bandai Namco Entertainment released a large batch of screenshots showcasing .hack//G.U.’s remaster .hack//G.U. Last Recode.

To be more specific, we get to see the fifth form Haseo will achieve in Volume 4, which will be added to the first three that formed the original trilogy.

Haseo will use a new sword named “Gate of Ouroboros.” It’s a eight-phase sword, and as the name implies, it utilizes the power of eight inscriptions from phase one to phase eight.

While fighting, the sword is divided in segment, so it can double up as a bladed whip.

As each phase is used, the sword actually changes form as the power of eight avatars is used. The forms are, in order: scythe, twin swords, sword attacking with whirlwinds, hammer, another pair of dual swords, claws, mace and energy cannon. In his fifth form, Haseo can also activate his skill trigger a second time, performing a double trigger.

Following the instructions of the new character Kusabira, Haseo will reach the depth of a dungeon where he will meet a giant monster named “shadow calamity Vegalta.” Vegalta creeps into reality through a rift opened into the fabric of reality. It’s outside the specs of the MMORPG, and continues to grow by devouring data.

You can check out the many screenshots below, and if you want to see more, you can enjoy the latest trailer a large batch of recent screenshots, and the first trailer.

The game will launch on both PS4 and PC (via Steam) in North America and Europe on November 3rd.
