Infamously known as one of the most controversial games of its time in the ’90s, Night Trap was famously told it would “never appear on a Nintendo console” by Nintendo of America’s former president Howard Lincoln. Thankfully, over 25 years later that statement is now void, as the game will be heading to Nintendo Switch this summer.

Publisher Limited Run Games has announced that Night Trap: 25th Anniversary Edition will be coming to the Nintendo Switch this summer in both a physical and digital release, after the game first appeared last year for PS4 and PC.

While an exact release date and pricing haven’t been confirmed just yet for the Switch release, Limited Run Games did confirm that pre-orders for the game will likely open up in July, and that it seems that a Collector’s Edition of the game will also be available for the title featuring a VHS tape, which perfectly fits the game’s ’90s aesthetics.

Night Trap: 25th Anniversary Edition is available now on PS4 and PC, and will be coming to the Nintendo Switch this summer physically and digitally. For a closer look at the game ahead of its Switch release, you can check out the new trailer below:
