Earlier this month, Nintendo revealed that the latest Splatfest event for Splatoon 2 would pit love against money. Now that the weekend is coming to a close and the ink has settled we officially have a winner for this event.
According to Nintendo Versus, Team Love came out on top in a 2-1 victory over Team Money. Based on the weekend stats, Team Love started off with the popular vote advantage, which would ultimately decide the fate of this Splatfest, garnering roughly 68 percent of the participating player base whereas Team Money only got 32 percent of the vote.

On the other hand, Team Money nearly won both the Solo and Team match categories. Love triumphed over money with 51 percent of the solo queue victories while money came out on top in the team queue with 51 percent of the wins as well.
In other Splatoon 2 news, Nintendo revealed that they’d be giving two of the game’s most popular characters, Pearl and Marina, the amiibo treatment. Furthermore, the latest free content coming to the game will be a new basketball court map as well as a new pair of dualies. Finally, Nintendo recently announced a Splatoon 2 Starter Edition that will come with a strategy guide for the title as well as some sticker sheets.
