Owlboy was the first title to receive a Limited Edition release courtesy of Soedesco. While the publisher had its fair share of problems getting Owlboy: Limited Edition properly packaged and shipped to North America, the whole experience did give them some valuable knowledge they could use on future Limited Edition releases. We recently learned that Petroglyph Games’ 8-Bit Armies would be the second title to receive the Limited Edition treatment, and will release on February 1, 2019.
8-Bit Armies: Limited Edition will be available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, though only 6000 copies will be made for each platform. Soedesco originally wanted to release it in December but has decided to push back its release a couple of months.
As for what 8-Bit Armies: Limited Edition contains, players can expect to net the base game, the soundtrack, a game manual, a skull bandanna, a flag, three 8-bit pins based on the game, twelve stamps feature characters from 8-Bit Armies, a dogtag, and a papercraft tank for players to construct on their own. All of this will be packaged in a 36,5 x 25,5cm gold embossed box. If you’re a huge fan of Petroglyph’s 8-Bit series, this definitely seems like it will be a great package to pick up.
8-Bit Armies: Limited Edition is currently poised to release worldwide for PC, PS4, and Xbox One on February 2019. DualShockers will be sure to let you know if there are any other delays. As for Petroglyph Games, they recently signed a deal with EA to remaster the first two Command & Conquer titles.
